ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
89-84 WHICH CALLED A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ON THE 20TH DAY
OF JANUARY, 1990 , TO CHANGE THE POLLING PLACE
FOR PRECINCT 64 FROM TYRRELL PARK RECREATION
CENTER TO TYRRELL PARK BAPTIST CHURCH;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of December, 1989, Ordinance No.
89-84 was passed by the City Council of the City of Beaumont
calling a special election to be held in the City of Beaumont on
the 20th day of January, 1990 ; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to change the polling place for
Precinct 64 from Tyrrell Park Recreation Center to Tyrrell Park
Baptist Church;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That Exhibit "A1° to Ordinance 89-84 be, and the same is
hereby, amended to change the polling place for Precinct 64 from
Tyrrell Park Recreation Centr, 6090 Babe Zaharias Drive to Tyrrell
Park Baptist Church, 5275 Phelps Road.
Section 2.
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
