ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 86-103 ; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR REPEAL.
WHEREAS, on October 7, 1986, the City Council approved
Ordinance No. 86-103 which vacated and abandoned a one-foot wide by
seventy-five foot long portion of Calder Avenue adjacent to Lot 9
and the west 1/2 of Lot 10, Block 4 of the Calder Addition, and
abandoned a one-foot wide by 140 foot long portion of Forrest
Street adjacent to Lot 9, Block 4, Calder Addition, located at 1096
Calder Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont' s Planning Commission
recommended abandonment of the north one-foot of Calder Avenue
between Magnolia and Forrest Streets and the east one-foot of
Forrest between Calder Avenue and McFaddin; and,
WHEREAS, Council desires to approve the recommendation of
the City Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT
Section 1 .
That Ordinance No. 86-103 be, and it is hereby,
repealed.
Section 2 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to a particular
set of persons or circumstances should for any reason be held to be

invalid, such invalidity shall in no wise affect the remaining
portions of this ordinance, and to such end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3 .
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only.
