HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 85-64 ORDINANCE NO. ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ISSUING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT TO ESTABLISH A PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR BUSINESS LOCATED AT 5480 WASHINGTON BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Beaumont considered the issuance of a specific use permit to establish a pipeline construction contractor business on property located at 5480 Washington Boulevard, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, to Randy Mott, representing Zavala-Tex Pipeline, prospective buyer, his legal representatives, successors, and assigns for that certain property hereinafter described; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter described conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Section 1. That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific use permit have been met and a specific use permit to establish a pipeline construction contractor business on property located at 5480 Washington Boulevard, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, in accordance with Section 30-26 and Section 30-40 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont, as amended, is hereby granted to Randy Mott, representing Zavala-Tex Pipeline, prosepctive buyer, his legal representatives, successors and assigns for that certain tract .7-p- -/ 41 to - .2 S-..PeZ described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 2 . That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued for and in accordance with each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3 . Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto the use of the property hereinabove described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended. P SITE ANALYSIS LEGAL DESCRIPTION North 60 ' Lot 52, all of Lots 53A, 53B, 54A, 54B and 55 Block 6 , Caldwood Acres Addition Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas SITE DESCRIPTION Subject property is an irregular shaped tract of land containing approximately 60,500 square feet or 1. 39 acres. The dimensions of the site are 280 ' x 355 ' x 60 ' x 75 ' x 140 ' . The site fronts south 280 feet on Washington, east 200 feet on Chamberlin Drive, and west 60 feet on Golds- borough Drive. Washington Boulevard and Chamberlin Drive are black top streets with open ditch. Goldsborough is dedicated but unimproved. The site drains to open ditches along Washington and Chamberlin. The land is level . Soil and subsoil is clay. No easements, encroachments , or zoning violations are noted. Subject is improved with two metal buildings . UTILITIES City owned sewer and water together with investor owned natural gas and electricity is available at the site. ZONING Lots 52 , 53A, 53B, 54A, 54B, and 55 are zoned G. C. M. D.
