ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE FOR THE ISSUANCE
OF A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR A CHURCH
AND ACCESSORY BUILDINGS IN AN RS ( RESI-
DENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY) DISTRICT ON A
5 .8 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED AS A PORTION
OF THE H. WILLIAMS LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 56
BEAUMONT, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTH-
EAST CORNER OF FOLSOM AND DOWLEN ROADS
HEREIN DESCRIBED IN ACCORDANCE WITH A
"SITE PLAN" .
WHEREAS, on AUGUST 17 , 1981 , the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Beaumont recommended the issuance of a
specific use permit for construction of a church and accessory
buildings in an RS (Residential Single Family) District on a 5 .8
acre tract hereinafter described; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
issuance of such specific use permit is in the best interest of
the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the hereinafter
described conditions;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1 .
That a specific use permit for a church and accessory
buildings in accordance with Section 30-26 and Section 30-40, as
amended, be granted to North End United Methodist Church for that
5 .8 acre tract of land, more particularly described in "Exhibit A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 2.
That this specific use permit herein granted is
expressly issued for and in accordance with each particular and
detail of that certain "Site Plan" attached hereto as "Exhibit B"
and made a part hereof for all purposes.
