ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
MAXIMUM RATES WHICH MAY BE CHARGED
BY LIBERTY T.V. CABLE, INC . FOR
CABLE TELEVISION SERVICES WITHIN THE
CITY OF BEAUMO NT; ESTABLISHING
CONDITIONS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL.
WHEREAS, Liberty T.V. Cable, Inc. (herein the "Company" )
provides cable television service within the City of Beaumont
under Ordinance 75-70 ; and,
WHEREAS, said ordinance provides for the amendment of
rates with the approval of the City Council expressed by ordinance
after reasonable notice and hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend rates and
hereby finds that reasonable notice and hearing have been
provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
Liberty T.V. Cable, Inc. is hereby authorized to charge
the following maximum rates for cable television service within
the City:
TYPE SERVICE ACTIVATION CHARGE MONTHLY SERVICE CHARGE
1 . Single Family Residential
First Outlet $25.00 $9.00
Each additional outlet 15.00 2 .50
Reconnection Charge 20.00
Transfer 20.00
Relocation of outlets 20.00
2 . Apartments and Condominiums
A . Single Family Residential rates will be charged when
service is provided and billed to each individual unit
occupant.
B . Service provided under central billing plan based upon
total number of units in complex, whether occupied
or not, and paid monthly by management:
First Dwelling Unit $9.00
Each Additional Dwelling Unit 4 .50
3 . Motel/Hotel
First outlet 9.00
Each additional outlet 3 .00
4 . Commercial
First outlet 9 .00
Each additional outlet 3 .00
Section 2 .
By increasing rates as permitted by this ordinance, the
Company accepts the following conditions:
1 . Company agrees to an amendment of its
franchise to provide that cable
service shall be available to not
less than 95% of all residences
within the City of Beaumont on or
before July 1 , 1982.
2 . Company shall within thirty (30) days
of the enactment of this ordinance
apply for all necessary licenses and
permits required for the Company to
provide its subscribers with
Nickelodeon and Cable News Service.
Company shall use its best efforts to
obtain such licenses and permits and to
furnish such service to its subscribers
on or before August 1 , 1981.
Section 3 .
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance, or the application of same to a
particular set of persons or circumstances, should for any reason
be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and to such end the various
portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.

Section 4 .
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of the conflict only .
