REQUESTED ACTION: Council consider a resolution accepting maintenance of the street,
storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer improvements in Barrington
Heights Phase V Subdivision.
RECOMMENDATION
Administration recommends approval of the following:
• Heights Avenue extended approximately 170 feet south to and including the cul-
de-sac from existing Heights Avenue
• Ellington Lane from proposed extended Heights Avenue approximately 729 feet
west to and including the cul-de-sac
• Madera Lane from existing Heights Avenue approximately 585 feet west to and
including the cul-de-sac
• Benton Lane from existing Heights Avenue approximately 585 feet west to and
including the cul-de-sac
Also, recommended for approval are the water and sanitary improvements for Lots 75 and 76,
Block 3, Lots 17-56, Block 5, Lots 1-7, and Block 6.
BACKGROUND
The aforementioned improvements in the subdivision passed final inspection from all entities
involved on January 8, 2003.
BUDGETARY IMPACT
None.
RESOLUTION NO. 03-028
WHEREAS, construction of the street, storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer
improvements constructed in the Barrington Heights Phase V Subdivision have been
completed as follows:
Street and Storm Sewer Improvements
► Heights Avenue extended approximately 170 feet south to and including the
cull-de-sac from existing Heights Avenue;
► Ellington Lane from proposed extended Heights Avenue approximately 729 feet
west to and including the cull-de-sac;
► Madera Lane from existing Heights Avenue approximately 585 feet west to and
including the cull-de-sac; and
► Benton Lane from existing Heights Avenue approximately 585 feet west to and
including the cull-de-sac.
Water and Sanitary Sewer Improvements
► Lots 75 and 76, Block 3;
► Lots 17-56, Block 5; and
► Lots 1-7, Block 6.
WHEREAS, the developers of said addition desire to have these improvements
accepted and maintained by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the director of the Public Works and Engineering Department
recommends that said improvements meet city standards and qualify for acceptance for
permanent maintenance, and the City Council is of the opinion that said improvements
should be accepted and maintained by the City of Beaumont;
