WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont wishes to apply for state assistance in the amount
of$50,000 from the Texas Department of Health (TDH) for grant funds made available to
local health departments which are members of the State's Health Alert Network to provide
Internet connectivity to the Beaumont Public Health Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT, the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute all documents
necessary to apply for state assistance in the amount of $50,000 from the Texas
Department of Health (TDH) for grant funds made available to local health departments
which are members of the State's Health Alert Network to provide Internet connectivity to
the Beaumont Public Health Department and to accept the grant if awarded.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the -
