WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont deems it necessary that
improvements to Concord Road from Interstate 10 to East Lucas be located, constructed,
widened, extended and maintained; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that a public necessity exists requiring the
location, construction widening, extension and maintenance of said street on the
hereinafter described property; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to acquire the hereinafter
described interests in and to the hereinafter described property for said location,
construction and widening, extension and maintenance of said street, and has found and
determined that said interests in and to the hereinafter described land is suited for such
purposes and that it is necessary to acquire same for said purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont, through its duly authorized representatives, has
negotiated in good faith with the owners of the hereinafter described land and has been
unable to agree with such owners of such property as to the fair market value thereof and
damages, if any and further negotiations for settlement have become futile and impossible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized and directed to file or cause to be
filed against all owners of the following parcel of land, and all claimants of any interest
therein, proceedings in Eminent Domain to acquire fee simple title for said purposes, in
and to the said parcel of land described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, the parcel of land being situated in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas.

Concord Road Improvements Project
Parcel No. 27
BEING a 0.056 acre parcel of land out of and a part of that certain tract comprised of Lot 1 and.the
Lillian Dodd Lot of Block 1 of the Bullock Addition in the A. Williams Survey, Abstract No. 385,
Jefferson County, Texas which were conveyed to Linda Gayle Johnson by deed recorded on Film
Code 102-63-0940 of the Real Property Records of Jefferson County, Texas; said parcel being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 3/4 inch iron pipe found in the southwest line of Concord Road for the most
northerly corner of Lot 1 of Block 1 of the Bullock Addition, plat of which is recorded in Volume
4,Page 110 of the Map Records of Jefferson County, Texas and being the most northerly comer of
the herein described parcel;
THENCE South 52° 56' 15"East with the southwest line of Concord Road for a distance of 90 feet
to a point for the most easterly corner of said Lillian Dodd Lot and the most easterly corner of the
herein described parcel;
THENCE South 400 03'29"West with the southeast line of said Lillian Dodd Lot for a distance of
27.61 feet to a point for the most southerly comer of the herein described parcel;
THENCE North 51° 21' 11" West for a distance of 13.95 feet to a point for corner,
THENCE North 52° 44' 12" West for a distance of 76.02 feet to a point in the northwest line of said
Lot 1 for the most westerly comer of the herein described parcel;
THENCE North 40° 03' 29" East with the northeast line of said Lot 1 for a distance of 26.96 feet
back to the point of beginning and containing 0.056 acres (2439.2 sq. f3.) of land.
The bearings recited herein are based on Texas Plane Coordinate System, Lambert Projection, South
Central Zone. All bearings, distances and acreage are surface.
