WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has no objection to the disposal of surplus
property as described below and in Exhibits"A", "B", "C", "D", "E" and "F" attached hereto:
PURCHASER: The Modern Company AMOUNT:$12,569.25
PARCEL NO. DESCRIPTION
2 Lots 1,2,3, &4, Block 54, Van Wormer Addition (27,879 sq. ft.). Located on Crockett
Street between Orange and Victoria.
3 East 50 ft. of Lots 2, 3, 4 &5, Block 1, Simpson Addition (6,470 sq.ft.).
Located on Emmett Street adjacent to Pipkin Park.
6 Lots 7-12, Block 39, Jarrett Addition (14,250 sq. ft.). Located on the comer of
Phelan and 18"'Street.
PURCHASER: T. W. Moak, Sr. AMOUNT: $2,607
Parcel No. 4 Tract 44, City Plat D-19,A.Williams League (5.05 acres). Located between
Trinidad and LaSalle Streets.
PURCHASER: Alton Laird AMOUNT: $23,103
Parcel No. 5 Lots 1-4 and 9-12, Block 42, Calder Addition (57,925 sq.ft.). Located on North
Street adjacent to the former Dowling School site.
PURCHASER: Wallace L. Downs AMOUNT: $200
Parcel No. 7 Lot 8B, Block 1, South Park 411 Addition (2,565 sq. ft.). Located at the end of Genoa
Street.
and,
WHEREAS, the properties are not needed for the use of citizens as a road, nor do
they have a potential for park, conservation, recreation or similar purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont wishes to sell the above properties as shown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a Special Warranty
Deed for the sale of above-described properties as shown.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 19th day of
June, 2001.
