MAJOR CODE VIOLATIONS: This structure is boarded and secured at the present time but it has been
vandalized in the past At one time we were continually getting complaints about people breaking in and
vandalizing The roof is deteriorating and will need new shingles. Limbs have fallen onto the roof and
damaged the roof. All damaged or rotten windows and window sills will need to be replaced. There is water
damage to the interior due to the leaking roof. All damaged or missing electrical wiring and electrical
fixtures will need to be replaced Also all damaged plumbing and plumbing fixtures will need to be replaced.
Staff recommended a raze or repair order for this structure on December 22, 1998. The owner did not
comply with that order. On April 18,2000,the structure was brought before Council for condemnation. The
property owner asked for time to demolish the garage and begin work on the house. City Council ordered
that the owner enroll in a work program and repair the structure within thirty days. A work program was
not signed as ordered by Council Mr. Fones did not make any repairs to the structure but he did secure the
structure On June 27, 2000, the structure was brought back again before City Council. Mr. Fones did
demolish the garage and he cleaned the property very well Because Mr. Fones has not complied completely
with Council's order to complete repairs, the structure is being brought back for Council consideration.

MAJOR CODE VIOLATIONS: This structure's roof has extensive deterioration. New shingles will be
needed. All rafters and fascia boards that are rotted will need to be replaced. All damaged or rotten
windows and window sills will need to be replaced. The windows have broken glass. The exterior stairs to
the second floor need repair. The exterior doors need to be replaced. The structure is secure at this time.
The foundation has had some attempts to be repaired but still is not in code compliance. A small amount
of repair has been done to the exterior brick. The interior flooring, ceilings and walls will need to be
repaired. All damaged or missing electrical wiring and electrical fixtures will need to be replaced. Also all
damaged plumbing and plumbing fixtures will need to be replaced. This structure appeared before City
Council on August 29,2000 and was given an order to complete repairs within 120 days. The owner has not
complied with that order.

MAJOR CODE VIOLATIONS: This structure's roof has extensive deterioration and new shingles will be
needed. A small section of the roof was repaired. There is extensive water damage to the interior due to the
leakin roof. All dama ed or rotten windows and window sills will need to be replaced. Some of the windows
have been rep aired. The front exterior door needs to be replaced. The front steps are deteriorated. The
siding Paint is Peeling All damaged flooring, walls and ceilings will need to be replaced All damaged or
missin2 electrical fixtures will need to be replaced. A new exterior electrical service has been installed. Also
all damaged Plumbing and Plumbing fixtures will need to be replaced There was a shed on the Property that
has been demolished by the property owner. Permits will expire on January 31, 2001 Prior to the repairs
that were made,staff recommended a raze order on February 8, 2000. The property owner requested time
to repair the structure and Council allowed six 60 days to make re airs. The owner enrolled in a work
pro mm but did not comply with Council's order to make repairs,On April 18 2000 the structure was
brought back before City Council and was given an order to complete repairs within ninety (90) days. The
owner did not comply with that order. The structure was to appear again before City Council on August 29,
2000 but was removed from the agenda and an extension was given to the work pro2ram until December 31
2000. The owners have not complied.

MAJOR CODE VIOLATIONS: This structure's roof is bulging which could be caused by foundation
problems There is a hole in the porch canopy and the roof is collapsing on the attached garage and carport.
There is extreme danger of it falling in on someone The rafters and fascia boards are rotted and will need
to be replaced There is possible interior water damage because there are some loose shingles. The structure
is secure so an interior inspection could not be made at this time All damaged or rotten windows and
window sills will need to be replaced The yard is overgrown and there is vegetation growing on the roof.
Also the chain link fence is in very bad condition All damaged or missing electrical wiring and electrical
fixtures will need to be replaced Also all damaged plumbing and plumbing fixtures will need to be replaced.
Based on the extensive repairs needed in this structure and the fact that these repairs will exceed over 50%
of its appraised value, staff is recommending a raze order for this structure.

supposed to go. This is allowing the interior to be damaged by water. The structure is secure and an interior
inspection could not be made. The backyard has a lot of trash and the yard is not being maintained. There
is also a metal shed in the rear. All damaged or missing electrical wiring and electrical fixtures will need to
be replaced. Also all damaged plumbing and plumbing fixtures will need to be replaced. Staff is
recommending a raze or repair order for this structure. Based on the extensive repairs needed in this
structure and the fact that these repairs will exceed over 50% of its appraised value, staff is recommending
a raze order for this structure.
