WHEREAS, on July 13, 1999, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded LD Construction the contract for the 1999 Street Rehabilitation Program in the
amount of$1,611,356.25; and,
WHEREAS, during the course of the project, Change Order No. 1 was approved
on June 6, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is requested to adjust the estimated quantities to
reflect quantities actually used during the course of the project, thereby reducing the
contract amount by $174,362.09 for a new contract amount of $1,468,778.06;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
2 decreasing the contract amount by $174,362.09 for a new contract amount of
$1,468,778.06. The project, as stated above, be and the same is herein accepted and the
City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final payment in the amount of
$103,633.61 to be paid to LD Construction.
