ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT TO ALLOW A CHURCH IN AN RS (RESIDENTIAL
SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING) DISTRICT LOCATED AT 7830
STATE HIGHWAY 105, IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Beaumont desires to issue a specific use
permit to Mr. Blaine McFarlin, Associate Pastor of Grace Church, to allow a church in an
RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling) District located at 7830 State Highway 105, being
That certain 10.00 acre tract out of the Daniel Easley League, Abstract 20,
being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point for the most southerly southeast corner of Windemere
Subdivision Section One a plat recorded in Volume 12, Page 89 of the Map
Records of Jefferson County, Texas;
THENCE North 050 10' 28" East, a distance of 136.11 feet (called North 050 19' 28"
East, 136.11 feet) to a point for corner;
THENCE North 390 22' 00" East, a distance of 404.50 feet (called North 390 22' 00"
East, 404.50 feet) to a point for corner;
THENCE North 220 43' 42" East, a distance of 46.40 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE North 890 16' 00" East, a distance of 1041.70 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 00" 44' 00" East, a distance of 207.36 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 89" 16' 00" West, a distance of 561.20 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 000 44' 00" East, a distance of 280.00 feet to a point for corner,
THENCE South 890 16' 00" West, a distance of 773.53 to the POINT OF
BEGINNING and containing 10.00 acres of land more or less as shown on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the issuance of such specific use
permit is in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizens, subject to the
hereinafter described conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That all conditions necessary for issuance of a specific use permit have been met
and a speck use permit to allow a church in an RS (Residential Single Family Dwelling)
District located at 7830 State Highway 105, is hereby granted to Mr. Blaine McFarlin,
Associate Pastor of Grace Church, its legal representatives, successors and assigns for
that certain tract as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for
all purposes.
Section 2.
That the specific use permit herein granted is expressly issued for and in
accordance with each particular and detail of the site plan attached hereto as Exhibit "B"
and made a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 3.
Notwithstanding the site plan attached hereto, the use of the property hereinabove
described shall be in all other respects subject to all of the applicable regulations
contained in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, as amended.
