BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and lie is hereby authorized to award a contract to Brystar
Contracting, Inc., of Beaumont, Texas for the West Lucas Drive and Gladys Avenue Emergency
Strom Sewer Point Repair and Cavity Repair Project in the amount of $736,761.00.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict
compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaunwq this the 20th,day of

Re: Gladys and Lucas Storm Drainage Repair
Dear Ms. Villarreal,
Based on our recent conversations, l offer the following information for your review.
To be added to the not to exceed budget $96,021.00
Clarifications
This cost is due to the additional work needed to be done at the repair site once
construction activities began.
This cost includes the following work,
l . install I — 9' X S' cast in place junction box to accept the 36" storm sewer from
Thomas Rd. and the 18" storm sewer overflow from Central Dr,
2. Repair the west wall of the existing conflict box and install the 18" overflow line.
3. Connect the existing 30" RCP storm drain to the new cast in place junction box.
4. Remove and replace additional pavement not included in the original budget.
Exclusions
1. Density testing to any of the backfill material or limestone base.
2. Compression strength testing of concrete pavement.
3. Standby days.
