BEIT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, pricing was obtained for the replacement of a standby generator at Fire
Station No, 6 locate at 1880 South Major Drive; and,
WHEREAS, Preferred Facilities Group --- USA Submitted a proposal in the amount of
$81,554.73 utilizing Buy Board Texas Contract #581-19; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Preferred
Facilities Group — USA is the lowest responsible bidder providing services at the best value to
the City and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL CIF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in
all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council hereby approves the proposal submitted by Preferred Facilities
Group -- USA in the amount of $81,554.73 for the replacement of a standby generator at Fire
Station No. 6 locate at 1880 South Major Drive; and,
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict
compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.

We are pleased to submit our Rough Order of Magnitude proposal utilizing our 581-19 Buy Board Texas
Co -Op Purchosloy Agreements Contract based on local CCI and coeffIclent of 89.
Proposal.Recap:
indefinite Delivery, Indefinite
Qi rontity - IDIQ 0 Disconnect/Remove existing generator includes disposal.
0 Furnish and install new 60kw Generac generator with 250amp output breaker.
• Furnish and install 400amp SER automatic transfer switch.
Multiple Award Construction • Furnish and extend new exhaust piping above canopy.
Cot? tracts - MACC • Furnish and install 250arnp conduit and wire from existing j box to new unit.
• Furnish and Install existing battery charger power from j box to new unit.
Task Order Contracts • Furnish and install existing ATS controls from J box to new unit.
TOC Furnish and extend incoming utility wire to new ATS,
• Furnish and extend generator power into now ATS.
• Furnish and extend load power room ATS to existing panel.
Cons Niction Monagemen t — • Disconnect existing gas line and fittings,
Agent or At -Risk • Re -connect the gas line and fittings after the now generator is installed. This includes
reusing the existing regulator.
Design Build If the existing regulator needs to he changed there will be an additional charge.
Proposal Cost $ 79,564.46
Government Bond (If Applicable) $ 1'990.27
Total Cost $ 81,554.73
Commercial We estimate approximately f Ive (5) working days to complete upon material delivery. (16 Week lead time
from date of purchase.) We explicitly exclude all liquidated damages for this project due to the volitivity of
Edticrition the market and supply chain challenges.
Our estimate is based on our interpretation of the project as presented to us. Our scope is limited to the
Inclustriol line items broken down Into individual tasks of work and developed based upon the Unit Price Book rate as
modified by the city cost adjustment and our Coefficient. All pricing for the required line -item estimate is
derived from the current calendar year RSMeans Facilities Construction Cost Data Book with Updates.
Infras truct tire
Once the quantities of work and price are approved, the Individual Job order becomes a fixed -price lump
sum contract.
