BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to approve the
emergency repair of a pump for Lawson's Pump Station in an amount to not exceed
$65,075.00.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.

Troy listed below is the scope of work and cost to repair the
above refrenced pump on a overtime basis
(A) Check all shafts for stright and polish
(B) Remove suction bell bushing and bottom adapter bowl
bushing. Both have excessive clearance. All enclosing tube
bushing and tension tube bushings are O.K.
(C) Sand blast all parts Inside and out down to bare metal, Put
6 mils of primer and 3 mils of finish coat paint. Paint to be
compatable with drinking water.
(D) Furnish all new O-Rings and (1) discharge gasket. Note:
Customer to furnish all bolting at jobsite
(E) Furnish a new 304 S.S. Suction bell strainer with 1" mesh wire
(F) Furnish technician in the feud to install, set motor, couple up
and test run. $65,076.00
(G) TRES to furnish delivery truck, customer to furnish the
cranes. Total cost $65,075. Delivery 8/25/23 or sooner. There is
a lot of work to be done in a short amount of time,
