BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract
with SETEX Construction Corp., of Beaumont, Texas for the City -Wide Emergency
Water Main Repairs for an estimated amount of $100,000.00.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.

Re; City Wide Emergency Water Maid Repairs Request for Bid
The City of Beaumont is requesting bids for a qualified contractor to perform City Wide Emergency Water
Main Repairs throughout the City. Time is of the essence. The City reserves the right to waive bid
informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to award the most responsible bidder making the most satisfying offer
to the City, All work to be completed per City of Beaumont Standard Details and state regulations which
are provided with this Request fox, Bid, Additional documents will be required if awarded the contract,
SCOPE Or WORD.
1, Perform a turnkey repair on minor and major waterline leaks/breaks throughout the Cityr Repairs may
include but are not limited to City service lines, curb stop repairs, corporation repairs, and water main
breaks.
2. Material for repair and dress up shall be provided by the City of Beaumont.
3. Contractor to notify any customers that will be affected by necessary service shutdowns to complete
repairs on an as needed basis.
4, Contractor to make locate calls prior to commencing any authorized work.
5. Trench excavation protection (where needed).
6. Backfill all excavations and pits per City of Beaumont Standard Detail.
7. Material/spoils Haul off.
8. Site restoration (to include sod and concrete sidewalk),
9. Water mains that are temporarily taken out of service are to be chlorinated per state regulations (Bac-T
sample to be done by the city).
10. Traffic control as required by the most recent TxDOT TCP Standards,
Price to include mobilization, labor, equipment, services, supplies, transportation, traffic control, utility
coordination, trench safety, confined space entry, supervision, and all other items and facilities necessary,
therefore.
