BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on April 12, 2022, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas
passed Resolution No. 22-108 awarding a contract in the amount of $25,088,259.00 to
Allco, LLC, of Beaumont, Texas, for the Collier's Ferry Pump Station Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $152,935.00, increased the
contract price to $25,241,194.00; and,
WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 2, in the amount of $18,900.00, is
required to re-route a power pole along with an overhead electrical crossing over Pine
Street; and,
WHEREAS, Entergy has agreed to remove the overhead powerline, power pole,
and bore an underground electrical line to power the Pine St. Lift Station; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 includes the cost of work by Allco's electrical
subcontractor, ESI, to connect that underground electrical line to the existing Pine St.
Lift Station; and,
WHEREAS, if approved, Change Order No. 2 will result in a new contract amount
of $25,260,094.00; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change
Order No. 2, in the amount of $18,900.00 for additional work described above, thereby
increasing the total contract amount to $25,260,094.00 for Collier's Ferry Pump Station
Project; and,
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.

Included with this letter Is Change Order No. 002 for the Collier's ferry Pump Station project. This letter
is to serve as a narrative for the Item(s) Included in this Change Order with supporting documentation
attached,
Item No, 1: Electrical Work at Pine St, Lift Station
Shortly after Allco mobilized to site a power pole, along with an overhead electrical line crossing
over Pine St., was Installed to energize the Pine St. Lift Station. This project includes Improvements
to Pine St. along with installing an access road to the Collier's Ferry PS that has a proposed road
surface elevation of 18.90 FT MSL which is -14 FT higher than the existing surface elevation of
Pine St. This means that the overhead electrical line must be removed, Entergy has agreed to
remove the overhead line and power pole and bore an underground electrical line to power the
Pine St, Lift Station. This change order covers the work required by Allco's electrical subcontractor
ESI to connect that underground electrical line to the existing Pine St. lift Station. Allco submitted
the attached CP-002 with a total cost of $18,900,00 and 14 additlonal calendar days, Freese &
Nichols, Inc. has reviewed their proposal and agrees with their cost but at this tlme can't
recommend the additional calendar days as this will be concurrent work and not Impede the
project's critical path. Allco still has the right to submit a subsequent claim for additional clays if
this Change Order causes any substantiated delays.
Total Cost: $18,900.00 Additional Days: 0 Calendar Days
To summarize, this Change Order has an overall cost Increase of $18,900,00 and 0 additional calendar
d. ays to the contract time.
