BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2021, by Resolution 21-292, City Council approved
the purchase of twenty (20) vehicles for use in various City Departments; and,
WHEREAS, only twelve (12) vehicles have been received, and Silsbee Ford has
been unable to provide the remaining vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, Council desires to cancel the purchase of the remaining vehicles in
the amount of $402,174.36 from Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of the remaining vehicles in the amount of $402,174.36 from
Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas is hereby cancelled; and,
THAT if the remaining vehicles are located, they will be purchased on an
individual order as needed.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
