BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the purchase of two (2) vehicles for use
by Beaumont Transit from Silsbee Ford, of Silsbee, Texas, in the amount of $93,063.70
through the TIPS Cooperative Purchasing Program in Resolution 21-311; and,
WHEREAS, after an eighteen (18) month delay, Silsbee Ford has been unable to
provide the vehicle,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Council desires to cancel the purchase of the one -ton truck in the amount
of $56,792.20; and,
THAT the new total amount purchased be changed to $36,271.50 for the one
vehicle purchased from Silsbee Ford of Silsbee, Texas.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in ail things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Council hereby approves the purchase of two (2) vehicles for use by
Beaumont Municipal Transit from Silsbee Ford, of Silsbee, Texas, in the amount of
$93,063.70 through the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative Purchasing
Program.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 16th day of
November, 2021.
