BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, the City received one (1) bid for the Wastewater Treatment Plant
Roadway Rehabilitation Project; and,
WHEREAS, the bid submitted was significantly more than the anticipated amount
for the project; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City of Beaumont Finance Department
to reject the bid for not meeting specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the best interest of the citizens of
Beaumont to accept the bid for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Roadway
Rehabilitation Project and that said bid should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the bid received for the Wastewater
Treatment Plant Roadway Rehabilitation Project.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
