BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, bids were solicited for an annual contract, with the option of two (2)
renewals of an one (1) year term at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for
Custodial Services at Facilities Maintenance Office; and,
WHEREAS, SanServe, located in Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid for total
estimated amount of $6,638,71, in the unit amounts as shown in Exhibit 'A," attached
hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of option that the bid submitted by SanServe of
Beaumont (Texas) is the lowest responsible bidder providing the best value to the City
and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by SanServe of Beaumont (Texas) for an annual
contract, with the option of two (2) renewals of an one (1) year term at the same pricing
as the awarded contract for Custodial Services at Facilities Maintenance Office for total
estimated amount of $6,638,71, in the unit amounts as shown in Exhibit "A," attached
hereto, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute a contract with SanServe of Beaumont (Texas) for the purposes
described herein.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
