BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to cancel the current
software contract with Kronos Workforce Dimensions, from Kronos, Inc., of Lowell,
Massachusetts. The software, which was to be used by all the City's departments to
manage payroll, timekeeping, and additional Human Resources functions, has been
determined not to meet the needs of the City; and,
WHEREAS, Finance determined the software would not function properly and
appropriately for the City's departments; and,
WHEREAS, per contract terms, the buy out for the remainder of the contract is
$58,688.80. The total amount spent on the project, including the buyout will be
$255,383.02.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents relating to terminating the existing agreement and
to execute final payment of $58,688.80 to Kronos, Inc., of Lowell, Massachusetts.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
651.
