BE IT RESOL\/EE:) BV THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT=
WHEREAS, the claim of Scott Stakes was discussed in Executive Session
properly called and held on Tuesday, October 1 1, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is requesting authority to settle this claim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVES BV THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Attorney be, and is hereby, authorized to settle the claim of Scott
Stakes for the sum of Twenty -Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Seven and 50/'100
E)ollars ($27,807.50); and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLA/El7 THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents related to settlement of the claim_
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
55'1 _
