BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
WHEREAS, bids were solicited for a contract for replacement of the standby
generator at the Jefferson Theater; and,
WHEREAS, McDonald Municipal and Industrial of Houston, Texas, submitted a
bid in the amount of $69,469.00; and,
WHEREAS, A & A Electric Co., of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $74,331,00; and,
WHEREAS, Gulf Coast Electric Co. Inc., of Beaumont, Texas, submitted a bid in
the amount of $69,600,00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gulf Coast
Electric Co. Inc., should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are
hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the bid submitted by Gulf Coast Electric Co. Inc., of Beaumont, Texas in
the amount of $69,600.00 for replacement of the standby generator at the Jefferson
Theater be accepted.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 11th day of
October, 2022.
