WHEREAS, on March 24, 2022, one (1) bid was received for an annual contract,
with the option of two (2) renewals of a one (1) year term at the same pricing as the
awarded contract, for automotive preventive maintenance services for City -owned
vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the best interest of the citizens of
Beaumont to accept the submitted bid for an annual contract, with the option of two (2)
renewals of a one (1) year term at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for
automotive preventive maintenance services for City -owned vehicles and that said bid
should be rejected and rebid the contract at a later date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the bid received for an annual contract,
with the option of two (2) renewals of a one (1) year term at the same pricing as the
awarded contract, for automotive preventive maintenance services for 'City -owned,
vehicles.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 5th day of
April, 2022.
