HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 22-065WHEREAS, on January 27, 2022 one (1) Request for Proposal was received for
the lease and operation of Tyrrell Stables from the City for the boarding of horses, as
well as a venue for riding lessons; and,
WHEREAS, the vendor taxes exception to the maintenance requirements of the
facilities and grounds and asks that the City perform all of the maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City of Beaumont Finance E)epartment
to reject the one ('I) proposal for not meeting specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the best interest of the citizens of
Beaumont to accept the proposal for the lease and operation of Tyrrell Park Stables and
that said bid should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the Request for Proposal received for
the lease and operation of Tyrrell Park Stables from the City for the boarding of horses,
as well as a venue for riding lessons.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
55'1 _
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
February, 2022.
