WHEREAS, on June 2, 2020, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas
passed Resolution No. 20-113 awarding a contract in the amount of $1,833.508.00 to
King Solutions Services, LLC, of Houston, Texas, for the Pipe Bursting Work Order
Contract — Phase III Project, and,
WHEREAS, on December 2, 2020, the City Manager executed Change Order No.
1, in the amount of $0.00, for furnishing and installing an end of line cleanout, thereby
having no effect on the total contract amount of $1,833,508.00; and,
WHEREAS, on February 9, 2021, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas
passed Resolution No. 21-027 authorizing the City Manager to execute Change Order
No. 2, in the amount of $40,152.00, to increase quantities to six (6) existing bid items and
for the deletion of two (2) existing bid items, thereby increasing the total contract amount
to $1,873,660.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 3, in the amount of ($2,772.00), is required to
increase quantities to seven (7) existing bid items and to delete quantities from three (3)
existing bid items, thereby decreasing the total contract amount to $1,870,888.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 2, in the amount of ($2,772.00) to increase quantities to seven (7) existing bid items
and to delete quantities from three (3) existing bid items, thereby decreasing the total
contract amount to $1,870,888.00 for the Pipe Bursting Work Order Contract - Phase III
Project.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter

PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 17th day of
August, 2021.
