WHEREAS, on July 8, 2021, one (1) bid was received for the Manual Flush Out
Installation Contract Project, and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department evaluated the one (1) bid submitted
and found that the bid was over the anticipated estimate; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of City of Beaumont Public Works
Department Administration to reject the submitted bid and rebid the project at a later
date, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not in the best interest of the citizens of
Beaumont to accept the submitted bid for the Manual Flush Out Installation Contract
Project and that said bid should be rejected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted, and,
THAT the City Council does hereby reject the bid received for the Manual Flush
Out Installation Contract Project.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551,
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 20th day of
July, 2021.
