WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Tax Office has accepted payments of
delinquent property taxes that were processed according to Sec 33.011 of the State
Property Tax Code; and,
WHEREAS, the Commissioner's Court met on March 23, 2021 and approved
waiver of the penalty and interest in the amount of $8.44 of delinquent property taxes on
account number 045250-000/004100-00000 (Clarissa Provost and Camryn Dennings);
and
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Beaumont to waive the penalty and interest in the amount of $8.44
of paid delinquent property taxes on account number 045250-0001004100-00000
(Clarissa Provost and Camryn Dennings);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Council does hereby ratify the action of the Jefferson County
Commissioners Court waiving the penalty and interest in the amount of $8.44 of paid
delinquent property taxes on account number 045250-000/004100-00000 (Clarissa
Provost and Camryn Dennings) accepting payment in the amount of $120.62.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
