WHEREAS, on July 9, 2019, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas
passed Resolution No. 19-143 awarding a contract in the amount of $1,416,203.00 to
ALLCO, LLC, of Beaumont, Texas, for the 11th Street Resurfacing (IH-10 to Delaware
Street) Project; and,
WHEREAS, on December 3, 2019, the City Manager executed Change Order
No. 1, in the amount of ($26,345.60), to adjust the quantity for the decrease of concrete
repairs needed as a result of the addition of the asphalt overlay of driveways within the
11th' Street right-of-way; the change of Hoover Road milling and overlay to excavation,
flex base installation and 10" concrete pavement; the placement of a wearing surface
over the asphalt level -up of driveways and a crown for sufficient sheet flow; and, the
overlay of existing driveways up to the right-of-way, thereby decreasing the total
contract amount to $1,389,857.40; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2, in the amount of ($52,472.84), is required to
adjust the estimated quantities to reflect the actual quantities used in the completion of
the project, thereby decreasing the total contract amount to $1,337,384.56; and,
WHEREAS, the project has been inspected by the Engineering Division and
found to be complete in accordance with the provisions and terms set forth in the
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby,
in all things, approved and adopted; and,
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change
Order No. 2, in the amount of ($52,472.84), to address the items described above,
thereby decreasing the total contract amount to $1,337,384.56 for the 11th Street
Resurfacing (IH-10 to Delaware Street) Project; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the 11th Street Resurfacing (I1-1-10 to
Delaware Street) Project be and the same is hereby accepted; and,
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to make
final payment in the amount of $375,019.85 to ALLCO, LLC, of Beaumont, Texas.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
