BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the firm of Whitley Penn, LLP, of Houston, Texas, was designated as the
independent auditing firm for the City of Beaumont for the fiscal year ending September
30, 2019 with an option to renew on a year-to-year basis for a period not to exceed
three (3) additional years, upon mutual consent of both parties. Fees for the audits of
fiscal years 2020, 2021, and 2022 will be $101,745.00, $103,780.00, and $105,855.00,
respectively; and,
THAT the City Council hereby consents to the contract extension with Whitley
Penn, LLP for the fiscal year 2020 in the amount of $101,745.00.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 19th day of
