BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to apply for and receive funding
in an amount up to $57,130 through the United States Department of Justice
Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program for the purchase of
three (3) Lucas Chest Compression Systems for use in EMS response units and seven
(7) ultraviolet light decontamination kits for sanitizing the interior of ambulances from
germs and bacteria in preventing, preparing for, and responding to COVID-19; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary to apply for and accept grant funding
through the United States Department of Justice Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental
Funding (CESF) Program in an amount up to $57,130.
The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in
strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter
551.
