RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing meter yokes and
corporation stops for the Water Utilities Department; and,
WHEREAS, East Texas Service Corporation submitted a bid -in the
amount of $12.99 each for furnishing 600 meter yokes for the Water Utilities
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Western Pipe and Supply Company submitted a.bid in the
amount of $3.89.each for 700 corporation stops for the Water Utilities.
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted
by East Texas Service Corporation and Western Pipe and Supply Company are
the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF-BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by East Texas Service Corporation in the amount of
$12.99 each for meter yokes, and the bid submitted by Western. -Pipe and Supply
Company in the amount of $3.89 each for corporation stops be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute annual contracts for the period beginning December 20, 1976, and
ending December 21,.1977, with the above-mentioned companies for meter yokes
and corporation stops.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont -this the
day of 1976.
