R E S 0 L U I O N
WHEREAS, on December 2, 1976, the City Council received
bids for furnishing group health and life insurance for City
employees and their dependents; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is -of the opinion that the
bids submitted by. Group Hospital Service, Inc. and Group Life
and Health Insurance Company (Blue Cross -Blue Shield of Texas)
is the best bid and should be awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
THAT the bid submitted by Group Hospital Service, Inc.
and Group Life and Health Insurance Company (Blue Cross -
Blue Shield of Texas) for furnishing group health insurance,
plan II, and group life insurance is hereby accepted; and
that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute an agreement .with Group Hospital Service, Inc. and
Group Life and Health Insurance Company (Blue Cross -Blue
Shield..of Texas) for furnishing group health and life insurance
for City employees and their dependents.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this
