RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing asbestos -cement pipe,
sizes 6", 8" and 12", with adapters for the Water Utilities Department;
and,
WHEREAS, Western Pipe and Supply submitted a bid in the amount
of Forty -Five Thousand One Hundred Ninety and 80/100 ($45,190.80) Dollars
for the asbestos -cement pipe in sizes 6", 8" and 12" for the Water Utilities
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted
by Western Pipe and Supply is the lowest and best bid and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Western Pipe and Supply in the amount of $45,190.80 be ac-
cepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute an annual contract for the period beginning December 20,
1976, and ending December 21, 1977, with Western Pipe and Supply for the asbestos -
cement pipe.
