RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing hot mix road materials
for the Street Department; and,
WHEREAS, Keown Supply Company submitted a bid in the amounts as
hereinbelow listed for hot mix road materials for the Street Department:
and,
F.O.B. Keown's Plant - Delivered to City Vehicles
Hot Mix Cold Lay $ 12.50/ton
Hot Mix Asphaltic
Concrete (Type D) $ 13.75/ton
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted
by Keown Supply Company is the only bid received and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Keown. Supply Company in the amounts hereinabove stated
should be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he
is hereby authorized to execute an annual contract with Keown Supply Company
for the period beginning December 31, 1976, and ending January 1, 1978, for
said hot mix road materials.
