%MI EM, the City of Beaumont presently has three (3) dozers
and a compactor down at':the landfill site of the City of Beaumont, and
is having to rent two (2) dozers, and the repair of one dozer is es-
sential to the public health and welfare constituting an immediate
emergency necessitating prompt action by the Council, and not leaving
time for the submission of public .bids;
NOW, THMEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAL&=:
THAT the City Manager, or his designee, be, and he is hereby authorized
to retain Fogle Equipment Company of Houston, Texas, being the dealer
for Allis Chalmers equipment, to make necessary repairs to the engine
of the 12G Allis Chalmers dozer, serial no. 96Y02063, to the end that
the dozer may be put back to work at an estimated cost of overhaul of
between $6,000 and $8,000.
