WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing equipment and tools
for the Beaumont Transit System; and,
WHEREAS, Branick Manufacturing Corporation submitted bids in the
amount of One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy -Four and No/100 ($1,774.00)
Dollars and Two Hundred Three and No/100 ($203.00) Dollars for a tire
spreader and a safety cage, and Rink-McIlwaine, Inc. submitted a bid in
the amount of Two Hundred Five and No/100 ($205.00) Dollars for a spring
tester for the Beaumont Transit System; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion .that the bids sub-
mitted by Branick Manufacturing Corporation and Rinck-McIlwaine, Inc. are
the only bids received meeting specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Branick Manufacturing Corporation in the amount of
$1,774.00 and $203.00 and the bid from Rinck-McIlwaine, Inc. in the amount
of $205.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City
official is hereby authorized to make payment for said equipment and tools
for the Beauiront Transit System upon acceptable delivery.
