RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Loeb Well & Pump No. 2 is completely inoperative as a
result of the need for .immediate repairs and Loeb Well & Pump No. 1 is
experiencing noticeable vibration due to a need fornecessary repairs
which could result in this well becoming inoperative at any time; and,
WHEREAS, should this occur, the City would be totally dependent
upon surface water and the case of a freeze could very well experience
a shortage of water; and,'
WHEREAS, this is an emergency situation and the City Council of
the City of Beaumont desires to authorize Singer Ccmpany, who.developed
both wells and has supplied all equipment and maintenance to the wells,
to perform necessary repairs in the amount of approximately Eleven Thousand
and No/100 ($11,000.00) Dollars;
NOW, THEREFORE, -BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMCNT:
THAT Singer Company is hereby authorized to perform emergency repairs to
Loeb Well & Pump No. 1 -and Loeb Well & Pump No. 2 in the approximate amount
of $11,000.00.
