RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing a contract for
aluminum sulfate used for treating drinking water in the Water Production
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Allied Chemical Corporation submitted a bid. in the amount
of $131.60/ton with an increase not to exceed 5% for the said aluminum
sulfate for the Water Production Department; and,
WHEREAS, "the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted
by Allied Chemical Corporation is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL .OF TBE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Allied Chemical Corporation in the amount of $131.60/ton
with an increase not to exceed 5% be accepted by the City of Beaumont and
the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a 90 day contract
with the above-mentioned corporation for aluminum sulfate for the Water
Production Department.
