WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against MABEL WILLIAMS BROWN, .in the sum of THREE
HUNDRED SIX AND 48/100 ($306.48) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon at the
rate of six percent (67o) per annum from the date thereof, together with costs
of Court, said judgment being in Cause No. E-96394, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
VS. MABEL WILLIAMS BROWN, ET AL, in the 172nd District Court of Jefferson
County,, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 12th 'day of December, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against ALTON J. HAWTHORNE d/b/a HAWTHORNE PRINTING,
in the sum of TEN AND 25/100 ($10, 25) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon at the
rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof; together with costs of
Court, said judgment being in Cause .No. 32, 829, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT and
BEAUMONT INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT VS. ALTON J. HAWTHORNE d/b/a
HAWTHORNE PRINTING, in the County Court at Law of Jefferson County, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of September, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against BUZ GILCHRIST d/b/a FRIENDLY FRIENDLY MOTORS, in the
sum of THREE AND 95/100 ($3m 95) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon at the rate of

six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof, together with costs of Court,
said judgment being in Cause No, 33, 327, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT and BEAUMONT
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT VS. BUZ GILCHRIST d/b/a FRIENDLY MOTORS,
in the Justice Court, Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS-, on the 9th day of September, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against PRIESTLY LADAY d/b/a LADAY'S UNION 76 SERVICE
STATION, in the sum of THREE AND 95/100 ($3. 95).DOLLARS, plus interest thereon -
at the rate of six per cent .(6%) per annum from the date thereof, together with costs
of Court, said judgment being in Cause No, 33,360, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT and

LADAY'S UNION 76 SERVICE STATION, in the Justice Court, Precinct 1, Place 1,
of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of _November, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against C.. HARRY ROBERTS, JRo , d/b/a BANKERS SUPPLY,
in the sum of TWENTY-ONE AND 85/100 -($21, 85) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon
at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof, together with
costs of Court, said judgment being in Cause No. 33, 647, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
VS. C. HARRY ROBERTS, JR., d/b/a BANKERS SUPPLY., in the Justice Court,
Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of September, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against -DONALD C. TANNER d/b/a CENTRAL T. V.. SERVICE,
in the sum of FOUR AND 13/100 ($4.13) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon at the .
rate of six per cent (6%) per annum -from the date thereof, together with costs, of
Court, said judgment being in Cause No. 33,179, THE CITY OF-BEAUMONT VS.
DONALD C. TANNER d/b/a CENTRAL T.V. SERVICE, in the Justice Court,
Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of October, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against MACK COUNTEE d/b/a COUNTEE'S LIQUOR STORE,
in the sum of THIRTEEN AND 90/100 ($13. 90) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon at
the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof, together with costs
of Court, said judgment being in Cause No. 33,561, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT VS.
MACK COUNTEE d/b/a COUNTEE'S LIQUOR STORE, in the Justice Court, Precinct 1,
Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of October, 1975, the City of. Beaumont
recovered judgment against BILL SIMANK d/b/a BILL'S ASPHALT CONSTRUCTION
CO., in the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR AND 74/100 ($254.74) DOLLARS,
plus interest thereon at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof,
together with costs of Court; .said judgment being in Cause No. 32, 584, THE CITY

WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of October, .1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against ARDIE NETTLES d/b/a NETTLES' EXXON SERVICE
STATION, in the sum of TWENTY-SIX AND 33/100 ($26, 33) DOLLARS, plus
interest thereon' at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof,
together with costs of Court, said judgment being in Cause No; 33, 500, THE CITY'
OF BEAUMONT VS. ARDIE NETTLES d/b/a NETTLES' EXXON SERVICE STATION,.
:in the Justice Court, Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; _ and
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of November, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against JOHN TRAYLOR d/b/a NECHES STREET BARBEQUE,
in the sum of FIFTY-NINE AND 04/100'($59.04) DOLLARS, plus interest thereon
at the rate of six per cent (6%) per -annum from the date thereof, together with costs
of Court, said judgment being in Cause No, 35,600, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT VS,
JOHN TRAYLOR d/b/a NECHES STREET BARBEQUE, in the Justice Court,
Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of. December, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against HAROLD GUIDRY d/b/a A B C MACHINE WORKS,
in the sum of. ONE HUNDRED TEN AND, 71/100 ($1108 71) DOLLARS, plus interest
thereon at the rate of :aix per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof, together
with costs of Court, said judgment being in Cause No. 33, 665, THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT VS. HAROLD GUIDRY d/'b./a A'.B C MACHINE WORKS, in the Justice
Court,Precinct 1, .Place 1, of Jefferson County,. Texas; and
WHEREAS, onthe 9th day. of .September, 1975, the City of Beaumont

WHEREAS, on the,22nd day of October, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against JAMES -L, TRAHAN, formerly d/b/a TRAHAN'S
OF BEAUMONT, in the sum of SEVENTY-TWO AND 09/100 ($72, 09) DOLLARS,
plus interest thereon at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date
thereof, together with cost's of Court, said judgment being in Cause No. 33,515,
THE .CITY OF BEAUMONT VS. JAMES Lm TRAHAN, formerly d/b/a TRAHAN'S
OF BEAUMONT, in the Justice Court, Precinct .1, Place 1, of Jefferson County,
Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day. of August, '1976, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against C. E. BLOHM, in the sum of THIRTEEN AND 91/100
($13, 91) DOLLARS, plus 'interest thereon at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum
from the date thereof, together with costs of Court, said judgment being in Cause
No, 34,182, THE CITY OF BEAUMONT VS, C. Ea BLOHM, -in the Justice Court,
Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of November, 1975, the City of Beaumont
recovered judgment against WILLIE M'o HILL.:'d'/b,/a RAINBO CAFE & LOUNGE.-
in
OUNGE;
in the sum of ONE. HUNDRED FORTY -AND 62/100 ($140,;62) DOLLARS, plus
interest thereon at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum from the date thereof,
together with costs of Court, said judgment being.in Cause No, 33,581, THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT VS; WILLIE M HILL d/b/a RAINBO CAFE & LOUNGE, in the
Justice Court, Precinct 1, Place 1, of Jefferson County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, -the. entire amount of the judgments adjudged in favor of the
City of. Beaumont, together with interest and costs have beentendered and paid'
to the City of Beaumont, and the City Council is of the opinion that a release of
the said judgments and all liens acquired by'virtue of said judgments should be
executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT;

the payment of said judgments, with interest and costs, to execute and deliver an

LADAY d/b/a LADAY'S UNION 76 SERVICE STATION, C. HARRY ROBERTS, JR.,
d/b/a BANKERS SUPPLY, DONALD C,. TANNER d/b/a CENTRAL T.V. SERVICE,
MACK COUNTEE d/b/a COUNTEE'S LIQUOR STORE, BILL SIMANK d/b/a BILL'S
ASPHALT CONSTRUCTION CO., ARDIE NETTLES d/b/a NETTLES' EXXON
SERVICE STATION, JOHN TRAYLOR d/b/a NECHES STREET BARBEQUE,
HAROLD GUIDRY d/b/a A B C MACHINE WORKS, JOHN V. TORTORICE d/b/a
LA CAMPA CLUB,. JAMES L... TRAHAN, formerly d/b/a TRAHAN'S OF BEAUMONT,
C. E. BLOHM and WILLIE M. HILL d/b/a RAINBO CAFE & LOUNGE, their
heirs and assigns, releasing any rights and interest acquired by the City of
Beaumont by virtue of said above mentioned judgments; and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized to attest to said instrument and to affix the Seal of The City of
Beaumont thereto.
