iM]REAS, the City Council has previously considered in executive ses-
sions proposals by the City Attorney for settlement of certain lava suits, and
believes such settlements to be in the best interest of the citizenry of The
City of Beaumont; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney, or his designee, be, and he is hereby, directed and
authorized to execute, suhmit to court, and file such legal instruments as may
be necessary to settle, in accordance with proposals submitted to the Council,
the following law suits:
(1) ' The 'City of -Beaumont 'v: 'Clara 'Mae Muirhead, - in the County Court
of Jefferson County, at Law, Cause No. 31,759; and,
(2) 'The'City of Beaumonty. Fremin's; Inc., in the County Court of
Jefferson County, at Law, No. 2, Cause No. 33,824; and
BE IT FUP-=R RESOLVED that that certain Judgment, settling 'The 'City 'of
Beaurm t've'Julian Mazzola;'et'al, in the County Court of Jefferson.County, at
Lava, Cause No..34,441., in accordance with the proposal submitted to this Council,
be, and it is hereby, in all respects, ratified.
