M]EREAS, The City of Beaurront has acquired fee title to Lots 569, 570
and 571, Block 6, of the Original Beaumont Townsite of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, Hatton Machine Works & Supply Company is unlawfully in pos-
session of a portion of certain property, carmnnl_v known as 793 Main Street,
and has been given due and proper notice to vacate said premises, but has
wholly failed to do so; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizenry of The City of
Beaumont to obtain its rightful possession to said premises so that the improve -
rents thereon may be demolished; NOW, THEPEFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney, or his designee, be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to file such proceedings and petitions as may be necessary, under law,
to obtain peaceful possession of the above-described premises in The City of
Beaumont.
