RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing six months' contracts
for precoated aggregate THD Item No. 304, sand shell mix and liquid
asphalt for City Departments and,
WHEREAS, bids were submitted by Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company, Inc.,
Keown Supply Company and Gulf States Asphalt Company, Inc. for said
road materials for City Departments; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the following bids
and prices are the lowest and best bids and should be accepted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the above bids and prices be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the
appropriate City official is hereby authorized to execute sixmonths'
contracts with said bidders for the materials as set out above.
