RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received on August 31, 1976, for general
construction and necessary electric work for the construction of im-
provements at Fair Park; and,
WHEREAS, Spaw-Glass, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of One
Million One Hundred Sixty -Two Thousand Five Hundred and No/100
($1,162,500.00).Dollars and Hubbard Electric Company submitted a bid
in the amount of One Hundred Thirty-Three.Thousand Three Hundred
Nineteen and No/100 ($133,319.00) Dollars; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont intends to issue and sell certificates
of obligation for a portion of the cost of these projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Spaw-Glass; Inc. and Hubbard Electric Company as set
out herein, be, and the same are hereby accepted subject to approval by
the Attorney General of the issuance and sale of certificates of obli-
gation and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
a contract ,with Spaw-Glass, Inc. and a contract with Hubbard Electric
Company for various Fair Park improvements and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to said contracts.
