RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$20.06, including costs of recording, covering lot 6, W. 1/2 Lot 5, S. 10 x
75 ft. Lot 7, Lot 8, Block 16, Van Wormer Addition to the City of Beaumont,
Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records
of said County in Volume 1530 at Page 227; and,
WHEREAS, on May 5, 1969, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$15.00, including costs of recording, covering Lot 10, Block 34, Lamar
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien
is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1319 at Page 158;
and,
WHEREAS, on July 19, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$55.00, including costs of recording, covering Lot 7, Block..2, Manion Oaks
Section 2 Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which
said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1634 at
Page 178; and,
WDT,EAS, on May 18, 1973, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$10.65, including costs of recording, covering Lot 1, Block 6, Carver Terrace
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is
recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1481 at Page 419; and,
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $55.00,
including costs of recording, covering Plat R, Tract 5, D. Brown Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in
the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1530 at Page 223; and,
WHEREAS, on June 8, 1973, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$17.40, including.costs of recording, covering Lot 8, Block 20, Tangledahl
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien
is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1485 at Page 32;
and,
WHEREAS, on July 19, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$55.00, including costs of recording, covering Lot 5, Block 7, Pear Orchard
Estate Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said
lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1634 at Page
160; and,
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$33.76, including costs of recording, covering Plat D-12, Tract 190, A.
Williams Survey, City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien
is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1446 at Page 1;
and,
WHEREAS, on March 10, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$10.00, including costs of recording, covering Lot.28, W.1/2 Lot 27, Block
3, Virginia Estates Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume
1424 at Page 110;and,
WHEREAS, on.. October 29, 1971, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County -'Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $8.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 4, Block 2, Virginia Estates Ad-
dition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is
recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1408 at Page 427; and,

WHEREAS, on August 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $23.13,
including costs of recording, covering W. 35 ft. of Lot 2, E. 1/2 of Lot 3,
Block 3, Tolivar Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume
1445 at Page 486; and,
WHEREAS, on March 24, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $55.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 2, Block 9, North Addition to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in
the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1614 at Page 7; and,
WHEREAS, on July 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $31.90,
including costs of recording,,_ covering Tract 70, SP 6, C. Williams Survey,
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in the
M & L Records of said County in Volume 1446 at Page 18; and,
WHEREAS, on July .19, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $55.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 9, Block 2, Manion Oaks Section 2,
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is
recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1634 at Page 136; and,
WHEREAS, on July 10, 1970, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $8.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 7, Block 11, Bel Air Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in
the M &-L Records of said County in Volume 1358 at Page 78; and,
WHEREAS, on August 25, 1970, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $10.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lots 31 and 32, Block 3, Herring Addition
to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded

County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $18,62,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 31, Block 5, Virginia Estates Ad-
dition.to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is
recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1500 at Page 315; and,

WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson. County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $33.07,
including costs of recording, covering Lots 13 & 14, Block 6, West Oakland
Addition to the City of Beaumont,. Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien
is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1530 at Page 245;
and,
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $25.12,
including costs of recording, covering Lot 1, Block 1, E. L. Cox Addition to
the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is recorded in
the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1446 at Page 16; and,
WHEREAS, on January 14, 1971, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of $15.00,
including costs of recording, covering Lots 6 & 7, Block 2, Bob Street Ad-
dition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien is
recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1375 at Page 384;
NOW, SORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Ken Ritter, -Mayor, be and he is hereby, authorized to execute and deliver
to John Bowman, C. W. Conn, Mark Durden, Oscar N. Eldridge, Anthony Fazio,
Leon Gibbs, J. A. Jackson, Robert Jacobs, S. M. Lacy, Eugene Lavergne, M. L.
Lefler, et al, James J. Miller, C. P. Rouse and Tyler Spikes a release of the
above-described liens for and in consideration of the sums aforementioned, re-
ceipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the City Clerk is hereby.authorized
to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ken Ritter, Mayor, be, and he is hereby,
authorized... to execute and deliver to Atlanta. Life Insurance Company, C. V.
Brannon, Cox Builders, Inc., Harold Hamilton, Ruth C. McKinney, and L. 0.
Roedahl., a release of the above-described liens for and in consideration of
the sums aforementioned, because said liens were filed in error and/or the
owner was not properly notified of the Ordinance of the City of Beaumont.
