WHEREAS, bids were received for constructing settlement ponds at
the Pine Street Water Treatment Plant; and,
WHEREAS, Greer Construction Company submitted a bidin the amount
of Forty -Six Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty and No/100 ($46,980.00) Dollars
for construction of settlement ponds at the.Pine Street Water Treatment
Plant; and,
WHEREAS, the City.Council is of the opinion that.. -the --bid submitted
by Greer Construction Company is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Greer Construction Company in the amount of $46,980.00
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official is
hereby authorized to execute a contract with the above company for con-
structing said settlement ponds at the Pine Street Water Plant.
