RESOLUTIO N
WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of an annual contract
for the period of September 1, 1976, through August 31, 1977, for passenger
and steel cord truck tires for the Fleet Maintenance Department for use on
various City vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company submitted an annual bid for
passenger and steel cord truck tires in the amounts as listed in the con-
tract for. -.the Fleet Maintenance Department for use on various City vehicles;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Canpany is the best bid and should be accepted.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to furnish tires to the City
of Beaumont for the period September 1, 1976, through August 31, 1977, be
accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Beaumont, a contract with the
above -mentioned -company for passenger tires and steel cord truck tires as
specified in its bid; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to
said contract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
