WTIEREAS, on March 10, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with
the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount
of $10.00, including costs of recording, covering Lots 8 and 9, Block 21,
Calder Highlands Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of.said County
in Volume 1423 at Page 478; and,
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with
the County Clerk of Jefferson County,�Texas, certain lien in the amount
of $5.73, including costs of recording, covering Lot 5, Block 30, Gulf
Terrace Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which
said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1445
at Page 475; and,
WHEPU%S, on May 25, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson.County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$55.00, including costs of recording, covering Plat V, Tract 29, J. Drake
Survey to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said lien
is'recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1625. at Page
3; and,
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1974, May 31, 1973, June 11, 1974 and October 1,
1974, the City of Beaumont did file with the County Clerk of Jefferson
County, Texas, certain liens in the amounts of $38.14, $15.49, $66.36 and
$55.00, including costs of recording, covering Lots 115 and 116, College
Acres Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said
lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volumes 1530 at
Page 231, 1483 at Page 314, 1530 at Page 282 and 1543 at Page 303; and,
WHEREAS, on May 25, 1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount of
$55.00, including costs of recording, covering Plat V, Tracts 39, 40, 41
and 48, J. Drake Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
WHEREAS, on May 25 ,1976, the City of Beaumont did file with the
County Clerk of Jefferson County,.Texas, certain lien in the amount of

$55.00, including costs of recording, covering E. part of Lot 17, Block

3, Woodland Acres Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of. said County
in Volume 1625 at Page 35; and,
WHEREAS, on August 18, 1972, the City of Beaumont did file with
the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas, certain lien in the amount
of $61.41, including costs of recording, covering Tract 230, W. 74.feet,
Plat SP -3, H. Williams Survey to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, which said lien is recorded -..in the M & L Records of -said County in
Volume 1445 at Page 443; and,
WHEREAS, Emmet E. Langham, C. D. Sutton, Mary L. Jackson, Mrs. H.
F. Kenney, Beaumont Independent School District, Henry H. Marquardt and
Melvin Phillips, respectively, are the owners of said above properties and
desire to pay to the City of Beaumont the monies represented by said lien
and have same released to them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT Ken Ritter, Mayor, be and he is hereby, authorized to execute and
deliver to the said above-mentioned persons a.release of the above-described
liens for and in consideration of the sums aforementioned, receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest
to same and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont -thereto.
