WHEREAS, the acquisition of a certain right-of-way be-
tween Eastex Freeway and Concord Road is essential to the open-
ing, location, and construction of the extension of Crow Road and
is declared to be'a municipal purpose and is considered in the
best interest of the citizenry of The City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the appraisal
report estimating the fair market value of the parcel to be ac-
quired and has determined and approved the offer to be made to
the owner of each parcel for the extension of Crow Road; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE.CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Real Property Manager be, and he is hereby, directed to
commence negotiations with such property owners as may be neces-
sary for the hereinabove described purpose and with the offers
directed by the City Council, to the end that The City of Beau-
mont shall acquire the right-of-way necessary to accomplish said
purpose and to the further end that the property owners thereof
shall receive the fair cash value for their property.
